In anticipation of the 2025 switch-off of copper telephone lines, Green Elevator Services Ltd (GES), a lift repair and maintenance company based in Cardiff, partnered with Blend Telecom, to find a sustainable alternative for emergency call buttons in its lifts. Our solution was multi network IoT SIMS that ensure seamless connectivity across all four UK networks and a reliable emergency call provision.

Our SIM cards eliminate the need for time-consuming surveys undertaken to determine the best network in a concrete lift shaft, by automatically connecting to the strongest signal of the four major networks. 

Blend Telecom’s award-winning billing platform provided GES with daily call records and usage alerts, effectively mitigating the risk of exceeding data and call limits. This valuable insight empowers engineers by offering a clear view of contract end dates, ensuring timely renewals and compliance while minimizing service disruptions.

Thanks to Blend Telecom, GES now stock blank SIM cards to issue its engineers, enabling instant connections without the delays associated with waiting for SIMS to arrive in the post. This not only enhances emergency communication, but streamlines operations through efficient SIM management, marking a significant advancement for the company.
